Item Description

TOMO 2004 Self-Titled CD, Daft Alliance. Weird and whacked out sounds pervade this release from electronic sound artist Tomonori Yasuda. It almost sounds as if he has taken the songs of Kraftwerk and deconstructed them into their respective parts. While their work revolved around specific and often repetitive patterns, TOMO seems to defy conventional rhythms and structures, creating a disjointed palette of melodies and beats. The result is not an easy listen, but the challenge makes it that much more engaging. A playful array of electronic, sample-laden tracks -- sometimes light and ticklish, sometimes stuttery drum'n'bass-y, sometimes downright funky, sometimes chiming and musicbox-y. CD comes in a foldover cardboard slipcase and is in Near Mint condition. Tracks: 1. Tree of No Trees 2. (time) 3. Giraffe's Mistake 4. Have a Good Rest 5. Ritual of Bubble 6. Pochi Run 7. Tangerine 8. People are Tired 9. It's Coming After You 10. Yellow Flowery Thing
