Item description

We offer many pieces of Homer Laughlin's Harlequin dinnerware. Some are new, some have been purchased at Estate and tag sales. We will always give you a critical description of each piece and offer all photos. Be sure to super size each photo for details. Extra photos are always available - just let us know. As many Fiesta collectors love Harlequin and the Riviera line as well, it is being included in our Fiesta booth. This sale is for a vintage Harlequin Red teacup. There are no cracks, chips, scratches or fleabites. No issues. Beautiful condition. Harlequin was produced by Homer Laughlin China exclusively for the dime store chain F.W. Woolworth. Manufacture dates are 1936 - 1964; and 1979 - 1982. It is reported to have been in active production until 1964. Harlequin original introductory colors in the 1930's included the Mauve Blue, Yellow, Spruce Green, and Maroon. In the 1940's, the colors added were Rose, Red, Turquoise and Light Green. In the early 1950's Chartreuse, Forest Green and Gray were added. At the end of the 1950's Medium Green was introduced. From 1979 - 1982 Woolworth sold a re-issue of Harlequin that included the colors of Coral, Medium Green, Yellow and Turquoise. Pieces backstamped are from the 1970's and have been said to be a rare come by. We may also be reached by email at sofyschoice1936@gmail.com or munchkin08@peoplepc.com Thank You!!! Sofy's Choice
