Welcome to our little corner of the world! Butterfly Mornings and Wildflower Afternoons represents our philosophy of life and covers all the things we love to do and create. My husband is an organic gardener, orchid collector, photographer, sculptor, graphic artist and baker and chef extraordinaire! A few years ago, Glen used to make and sell his famous New York Cheesecakes from his Cheesecake Crisis Center and I made and sold my special homemade quiche from my Quiche' Me Quick business. Nowadays, the baked goods are made for us and special friends as Glen is busy with his aquaponics operation and Grandmas, who have been featured in Country Sampler for the past five years leave me little spare time after work.
Our Butterfly Mornings craft creations include Grandma Broom and her siblings - the small free-standing Grandma and the baby of the family, the vacuum cleaner covers. Glen's sculpture creations Mrs. Pfefferneuse,Whoopi Wabbit and Moola Bell were the result of a customer who was deathly afraid of mice. Our country mice were very popular and always filled our shop and craft show booths. When one customer had a true reaction to them, I later joked to my husband that we needed to make masks for the mice. The next thing I knew, I was making rabbits and cows in familiar little dresses and hats! I work at a private RV resort in the front office and part of my job responsibility is sales and marketing, which allows me to spread my creative wings creating ads and pr for this wonderful place. If you are a camper, check out our beautiful resort at www.unicoisprings.com.
Since 2001, we have entered the internet market and also sell treasures we find or no longer have room for. The best part about all of this is the wonderful people we have met.
In October, 2008, I lost my heart and soul dog...my precious girl, Bailey after 5 years of dealing with various health issues including blindness. Her health led me to www.handicappedpets.com for advice and support. The knowlege I gained gave me at least two more years with my girl. I have since become a moderator on their discussion board. If you have a pet with health issues or a handicap, please visit this very supportive and loving community with a phenomenal wiki and knowlege base.h
