Here at Bonanza, our team has been exploring ways to improve the design of important pages on the site. One of the big opportunities on our list was the My Bonanza page. After much research, design, and iteration, we’re excited to have started developing the new page. We’re planning for it to be up and running in the coming weeks.
We'll be keeping you up to date with details about the page launch over the new few weeks. Today, I wanted to share some basic information about the project as well as a sneak peak at the new design.
The My Bonanza page has an opportunity to display tons of valuable information for both buyers and sellers. We wanted to be sure that all of the information is presented in a way that's easy to understand and act on. To support this initiative, we came up with a few ideas to help the page work better (and look) better.
Right now, My Bonanza serves two groups: sellers and buyers. Since the needs of these groups can be pretty different, we decided to give each their own page. This allows the pages to be a little more focused than if we put everything all together. Users can find what they need in the right place and context.
Everyone who uses the site has a My Bonanza page, which focuses on shopping and general account information (things like messages, feedback, rewards, and settings). Sellers will also have a My Sales tab, which shows more detail around sales, performance, and tools, along with a navigation specifically for sellers.
Notifications are a big part of My Bonanza. We wanted to be sure to include them in the new designs, while making few changes to improve their visibility and usefulness. We believe this will make notifications more informative and actionable for both buyers and sellers.
Both new dashboard layouts have a space up top to display notifications, much like the existing My Bonanza page. These spaces alert users to new messages, sales, offers, and more. Our design adds color to help the notifications stand out. They can also expand to show detail and let users click to individual transactions or messages. Similar visual prompts also appear in the navigation and content sections, indicating new and actionable events.
The existing page does a good job of showing lots of navigation choices, but doesn’t always deliver when it comes to content. We wanted to flip this around, so we're exposing more useful stuff on this page while still making it easy to get to other pages.
Both dashboards have a few sections of new content, focusing on transactions, recent activity, and relevant tips and recommendations. We also spent time reorganizing the navigation on the page. We believe this will help people get a better snapshot of information all in one place and navigate around the site more easily.
With so many people accessing the web from all kinds of devices, it's also critical to be sure the new design works well in different environments. With a project like this, it’s often hard to prioritize content and avoid adding tons of features. Thinking “mobile-first” really helped us here. With every design decision, we considered how it would work for different screen sizes, device types, and connection speeds.
The new design uses the same basic content, navigation, and styles regardless of screen size. This means we didn’t have to cut features for mobile users. Our goal is keep the design simple enough to support quick loading, easy reading, and clear actions.
Right now, our team is working to bring the new page design to life. We’ll be doing a lot of development, testing, and iterating over the next few weeks before the page launches. We’re really excited about this project and will soon have more to share, so stay tuned for more updates!

Looking forward to trying it out.
Sales on this site have been non-existent the past month – so i hope these changes help to highlight more of my items for sale to improve business. Improvements are needed and i hope these things help increase the traffic from buyers NOT just looking but actually BUYING ITEMS!
can’t wait to try it..
I have already noticed and very much like the new changes to the my profile page. More content that is easy to navigate is great!!!!!!! I am looking forward to the other new changes. Thanks:)
nice
thanks
Lets get some advertising into the mix!! With the ( other ) site going thru a transition its time to make a move up the ladder!! Love Bonanza!! Easy to use… Looking forward to years and years of greatness!! Thank you!!
Can’t wait to see it, I’ve had several people – get refunded, after I sent their confirm, simply because the shipping time was longer than, 3- 5 days processing, “was not clearly presented or easy to find”she said, even tough we have it loaded correctly, she only saw our processing time and thought it was the shipping. Sales are already low, refunds for this reason , is an ouch! It was the layout of the page’s fault.
Looking forward to any improvement if it will result in MORE sales for me here. Thanks for your efforts.
Can’t wait. I absolutely LOVE the new profile pages!
Great improvement !
I would like to know what happened to the ‘Welcome new members’ section.
Looking forwards to this change!
we like Bonanza, they need to up grade and add an product option . like different values for the same item. like
case/teir option for prices so the buyers can choose
Super! Would also be great if Apple would hurry up and OK iPhone mobile for those still waiting for it!

Awesome!!
Let’s go find us some buyers and dedicated sellers!
wonderful
Im Excited about Bonanzas Upgrades! As some of us use to sell on ebay, I think the most efficient way of Generating the sales were through the Individual blog pages that were sent to the google feeds, Kinda like Blogger.
Any way to get that type of blog out there?
I’ve got my Bonanza link On all of my sites including Several Sellers on here, in hopes that They will also get more sales.
I Just LOVE BONANZA!
Was checking out my pages today & noticed that I had some endorsements for one booth but not the other two that are newer. Am wondering if it would help buyer confidence if they could see the feedback and endorsements for all booths in each booth as well as links to them. After all I give the same service in each booth.
I would prefer that the 4 pictures shown on the profile page of items in my booth were items chosen by me to showcase what I sell rather than having Bonanza use pictures of the items most looked at. When looky-loos are sparse, the pictures do not necessarily represent the variety of items in my booth. right now, for example, 3 of the pictures are of doll clothing. If I were a would-be buyer and saw that, I wouldn’t even bother to go to the booth and check it out.
I would like to opportunity to select my own pictures as representative of the items I sell.
I think it would be a win-win situation both for Bonanza, which gets a commission on items sold, and to the seller, who makes a sale.
And, really, selling is what it’s all about.
Well said, Carolyn /cshort0319 ! SECONDING !!!
Design only can’t sell our items.
We need to be able to choose our own selection.
Wow Awesome ……….
I second … cshort0319 … I want to select my own pictures
I also agree with Carolyn, about choosing our own ‘featured items’.
My ‘Popularity’ view of my booth has not changed in months, so that is stuck. I know it is wrong because it never changes and some of those items don’t even get views, according to the stats. Therefore, I wouldn’t want those fake ‘most popular’ items to keep showing up.
I have some difficulties with the new page. First of all, why is my personal home telephone number listed under contact information?!
Second, only 3 items for sale show up rather than 4. Yes, as said above, I would like to pick them but when I click on the empty “add an item” square, I get a page to list a new item. Why is that square empty?
Third, I listed my e-mail on my old My Bonanza page which was my preferred contact method over Bonanza messaging way back when and that is still there now in the “About Me”[probably shouldn’t be since it is my “use for everything” e-mail] …rather my personal HOME PHONE number is listed which I do NOT want available on-line! I never put THAT on my old profile page! I am now deleting it. …I will put my Pinterest pages up there altho that is not really a “contact” page but I can/will add a Bonanza specific page to Pinterest … and also Twitter which is used almost solely for promoting items for sale. But absolutely no to personal Facebook or my home phone!
addandum …I see the 4th item photo fills in with items when I view the page while NOT logged in.
Also, the personal phone number DID show up. That is gone now.
Also, the photos of my “items featured in Hand-Picked Lists” [by others] are not my items, but rather items I have put of others in my hand-picked lists. The hand-picked lists that are stated are created by me are correct.
Also, when I went to write the addendum I was repeatedly bumped off-line and when I found the blog again, all comments were gone. Went to history to find it again with comments.
Just a comment on shipping. Why is there no option for the flat rate envelopes?? That is much cheaper that priority or parcel select and many item will fit in the flat rate envelopes. I try to use them for items that are over the 13 ounce mark to save the buyer on shipping.
I too would like to see CALCULATED shipping for Parcel Select option (not just for Priority). It would be nice to show or allow the Flat Rate Envelopes as well and also the Priority REGIONAL Boxes which can result in big savings (when used right) for the buyer. Nobody likes paying more for shipping when they don’t have to and keeping shipping costs down can result in more sales overall.
Also, as others have mentioned, YES it would be nice to be able to pick our own featured items.
Very Good! Wonderful
Sales! Sales! Need more sales on Bonanza, absolutely the best site ever for sellers but no sales. The updates, new features, improvements are fabulous!! But irrelevant if sellers can’t sell.
Check out for buyers when there is a sale is still wonky also, smoother buying process would definitely help !!
I really love the new profile page, but I too agree with cshort0319-I’d much rather choose my own items to feature (especially for different times of year). Just my 2 cents.
truthfully both pages were fine…I think there are more important things to work on than cosmetics (I would go for more functionality and more efforts for advertising)…

I came here because it was different, original…but now it is starting to look like every other place….boring
Sorry about the double posting…
This is a good change. As sellers, we need to have a good way to do SEO on our booths. Keywords,Meta-Discription,Title Pages, etc.
What you rolled out today looks very dull and harder to move around finding what I want, not a good change. But you did do a good job on the new profile page. Ok I was talking about the my Bonanza page After going back a few times it’s not really hard to find my way around but it’s still a very drab looking page.
Whoohooo I love love the new profile page I hope for new sales
