Notifications have returned

Good morning. 

You might have noticed something new in the top ‘bar’ of the site this morning – a link called ‘notifications.’  This simple link replaces the notification system that used to sit along side ‘My Bonanzle’ in the old site design.  Its purpose is to notify you of inbound Bmail messages, offers, and other alerts like kind requests to pay your dues.  ; )

There is a numerical count next to the link.  If the count is zero you have no unread messages and the link serves as a quick path to your My Bonanza page (not shown below).  If the link count is one or more a menu drops down providing instant access to the notification(s) in question via a simple menu. 

UPDATE:  our system is catching up on the notifications from the past few days and beyond.  So, if you get an email notification and don't see your status updated quite yet it's because we're still processing all of the notifications.

    how cool I am so glad to see a notification link.. I like being able to click the term and be directed back to “My Bonanza”

    That is a real time saver idea..

    I made 2 sales this am but my Notification count was 0. Otto told me I had the sales so all was good. Are they suppose to show up as Notifications?

    @sharsboutique – first off congratulations on your sales! The notifications are populating all of the messages from the past few days and beyond. So, you probably didn’t get notified quite yet as our system is catching up. I’ll update the blog to make sure that’s clear. Thanks Shars.

    I certainly am happy to see we have notifications in a place where we can see them from any page, that helps a lot. I do miss the icons, they were more noticeable than those numbers , but I can live with this.

    Thank you for letting us know. I had not noticed it yet. I agree, Alibirdy, the little icons were definitely more noticeable, but will have to get used to looking up every now and then to see if the number changes.

    Alex & Christopher…is it possible to either have the word notification or even the number light up or change colors? Anything that would catch your eye. Maybe just too used to the old flags but I know I’m not grabbing my bmail as fast as I should..thanks for the consideration

    @Sofyblu2 – we do the color change on the back of the number when there is at least one new message. We think it’s a nice blend of discoverable and subtle.
