The Belvedere the Summer House of Queen Anne Another Quality Print from Martin2001 Type of print: Photochromotype (similar to modern offset lithography) - Vintage antique print Year of printing: 1902 Artist - Engraver - Publisher: Vaclav Jansa - n/a - Nakladatelstvi E. Beaufort, Praha II. The print comes from a series of prints based on the water-color paintings of the Bohemian (Czech) artist Vaclav Jansa who painted them between 1880-1900 Condition: Excellent - Very good - Good - Fair. The holes in the print were for a woven ribbon to bind the prints together. Overall dimensions of print: including blank margins: 9 x 11 inches. 1 inch = 2,54 cm Type of paper: Thick - Heavier - Medium heavy - Slightly heavier - Thin. Reverse side: Blank - With text or pictures. Notes: 1. Green 'border' around the print in the photo is a contrasting background on which the print was photographed, it is not part of the print. 2. Legend/Description of the subject depicted in the print: The following is a loose (i.e. not verbatim, but accurate) translation of a brief Czech narrative that accompanied the print: A highly valuable building of the Italian Renaissance, situated to the east of the Castle, on the Hradcany. The Belvedere was built by Ferdinand I for Anne, the daughter of King Vladislav IV between 1535 - 1564. A colonnade surrounds all four facades of the building.
