Buyer days delivered package was empty and wants another one.

I sold 30.00 reading glasses. Tracking shows delivered. The buyer is saying the package was empty. I did not ship an empty package. Anyone in her household could have taken them out of the envelope, or the buyer can just be saying this because she wants another pair. What should I do?

I just had this happen to me. The customer said I only sent one gown instead of 2. I knew this was not possible because I sent them Padded Priority mail, which neither Bonanza, or paypal have available. I told the customer to open up a claim on paypal, and paypal found in my favor. I now photograph every package that has more than one item in it. In your case, the glasses have to be in a case or something, indeed not flat. You should have a receipt for the postage with the weight on it.

I had this happen a couple of months ago. You can track it, but unless it is insured, you can not file a postal claim.
It CAN happen in the postal service AND it is possible you have a scammer.
With 4571 imported feedback, certainly you must have some experience in dealing with these kinds of issues How you deal with it is up to you.

The first question would be, did you have insurance on the item? If not, I would say you as the seller would be responsible for the missing item in this case.

Proof of shipment with the stated weight on the shipping label would prove you did ship something. The buyer would have to file an item not received claim for their purchase to which you would have to respond.
