How do i advertise on craigslist

Should I advertise the link to my booth, or just on certain products? Not sure where to post them. Any ideas or insights much appreciated.

It’s worth a try to submit both your booth and your items to craigslist but as far as how effective it would actually be is questionable since they limit how much you can post per day, have hyperlinking restrictions and remove your ads in certain amount of days. On top of that millions of people post there daily, which is a good thing but it also is a bad thing since it pushes ads you post to the back of the line at a very fast rate making it tougher to get noticed.

Social media is another great way to get visitors to your booth and build a following it just takes time and patience is all.

If you are looking for a craigslist alternative check out my site at classifiedsubmit.com you can promote and list your Bonanza items and booth for free. I also would suggest trying out some social media services from people on Bonanza if you are unsure how it all works.

Good luck.

I just signed up for [URL removed] which is a CL alternative and they give you a free store. You earn credits by completing certain information. If you ship, you use their payment system and they only charge 10%. You can also import listings from Bonanza but have to repost the photo.

I use Craigslist locally. But I do not link it to any online selling. I just post/list individual items. Then if someone wants to see something else I MIGHT send them over to my Bonanza but probably would just email a pic or meet in person. I used to link the two but the world is full of strange folks. And I feel not having the two linked gives me a bit more space and control. I would be interested to see what everybody else thinks.

I don’t list my booth items on Craigslist. For Craigslist I only list items there that I am not willing to ship or that might be too expensive to ship. I use Social Media to get the word out about my Bonanza Booth items.

I have never had success on craigslist, but i dont think they would want to pay shipping from a website, i think CL is mostly for local items to be picked up.

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
