I joined within the past month. I also sell on Ebay but am so disappointed in them the last two weeks. I want to sell here so badly instead but i just can not get that first sale. I have moved up the percentage of advertising to 19% …. I was hoping to avoid paying for the monthly advertising package until i at least sold a couple of things…but now i am wondering if you have to buy into this advertising to ever make any money here in Bonanza.
Thank you very much for any help. I sent in a question for help from Bonanza the night i opened my store and had some problems with the download and didnt receive a reply until last night so customer service is a little disappointing also here. :(

Hi there. Of course as with any selling venue if you pay for advertising packages the more exposure you will receive. However you cannot just rely on that alone. To get potential customers to see your booth or store the majority of time running your store needs needs to be on advertising. Social media, classified ads, blog posts etc… all need to be done in order to get your store seen. I have tried many different venues for store selling including my own website and I have found Bonanza to be the best and my venue of choice. The sales will come but you have to develop a marketing plan.

So sorry to hear that sales and views have not met expectations. One of the most common questions on Bonanza is how to increase sales. It is difficult to form one response that will work for everyone, as each seller’s situation and business is different.

You have to do a lot of your own promoting. Promote with Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram and where ever you can find to promote. I would not purchase anything until you get some sales. I looked at your booth. You have some really nice things, but some of your items don’t have a photo. Good luck. I’m sure sales will come but it takes time.

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
