Selling on ebay.

Since Bonanza has made it so easy to sell on ebay by importing my Bonanza listings over there, does anyone have basic advice for an ebay beginner.
All my items are handmade by me unless a few destash bead listings.
Thanks

We where on Ebay along time before the Bonz arrived, and we still are under a different trade name. We also sell Handmade, handprinted items. The biggest issue with Ebay is getting lost in the sea of cheap Asian products, particularly in your category it would be difficult since many jewellery sellers overseas start with auctions and free shipping. As well keeping your seller standing there as above standard so your items will be found in search. We orignally opened here when fee increases happened over there however if you remember to activate your free listings it is a big help (bottom of your seller dashboard on the bay) Good luck you will get plenty of views you will have to let us know how that works for you.

Thanks.

Ebay is good because of the high volume of traffic, millions of people shop on there every day. You will need to have good quality, clear photos, which you do from here, free shipping is good to offer also, & your prices will need to be competitive because there are many handmade sellers there, as everywhere, & many Ebay sellers of handmade jewelry price their items very competitively, & also you have the option to do auctions, where you set a minimum starting bid, many artisans start bidding at $1 but you have the option of setting a reserve price which is the lowest amount you will accept. Auctions also have a buy it now option where the price is higher for the ability of someone to immediately purchase, avoid bidding, etc. You can also make listings with only the buy it now option, no auction. Take advantage of any free listings & keep an eye on fees, you can also mention your Bonanza store & any other sites in item descriptions just include the web address. & as noted, be wary of difficult buyers there, eBay tends to almost always favor the buyer & the seller can end up in an unenviable position. Always include tracking numbers when selling there this helps show when items have actually been delivered, good to have just in case. It is imperative to keep 100% or as close to it positive feedback rating on there, the site tracks each seller’s ratings, performance, etc. It is good to have some low cost items not too expensive or labor intensive to make, to compete in such a huge market. Good luck!
