Best form of promotion for bonanza booth

I’m a transplant from an eBay store, was getting tired of their rules changing during the game. I would really like to know how everyone promotes their booths. What methods do you use? Is it Free shipping? tell me I’m all ears.

Welcome MarcS36! A lot of people came from there for the same reasons.
To promote your booth, make your presence known by introducing yourself in the Community forums and promoting any items or sales there, i.e. Promote Your Booth in Promos and Deals; by participating in the Fun & Games (lots of options); by visiting other sellers booths (be sure to drop a note in the chat box so they know you stopped by); and through Social Media (twitter, Pinterest, Facebook).
You can run sales using free shipping or by adding and promoting a coupon, or however you want to do it. The bottom line is you have to market your items if you want to sell them.
You can also select a higher percentage (under Marketing and Advertising in MyBonanza) to get your items advertised more.
The nice thing is there aren’t any listing fees and you don’t have to keep re-listing. It won’t cost you anything until you sell something, and then the fees are minimal.
Best of luck to you!

Thank you.

Pinterest, twitter, facebook and other social media sites are a great way to get a following for sales.
There are members here that promote for you for a small fee

Yes ebay’s rules are suicide for sellers, We are happy to support each others efforts, become part of the family by showing up for activities, and make yourself seen, sales discounts known, regularly, in the promos n deals. Better time spent there than reposting same items… WELCOME HOME!

I am using free shipping on a lot of my items, and I am hoping for the best. But I’ve listed here before (under a diff ID) and sold maybe 4 things. I’m probably going to use this site for ‘storage’. It’s too bad because I love this site way more than eBay, but there is very little traffic.

Add freebies to your booth! May not be the best, may work for you. Also try social media sites. CL being a good place. Also create your own website. And promote that as well.

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
