Do those booths who now accept credit and debit payments noticed an increase in sales overall or mainly just people paying more with this method that probably would have used paypal before? i bet at least half of my orders now are with credit card so not

I am just seeking thoughts on how the credit card payment option is working out for those booths that accept it as a form of payment.

There’s been a definite increase in sales since accepting credit cards through Bonanza Checkout. Not sure if the buyers would have used PayPal if they had not been offered the credit card option. Either way, it has cost me almost nothing (over the cost of accepting PayPal) to accept credit card payments. The only drawback has been the slight delay in getting the money out of escrow. But, I can put up with that.

The good news about accepting credit cards is that at least I’m not faced with an extended return policy like the 180-day return policy fostered upon me by PayPal.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have now added this and experienced my first “good” feeling in a while!![URL removed]

I would also be interested in how that is working out, and if any sellers or buyers are having problems with it.

I accept the credit/debit payments and have not noticed an increase in sales, although I have only started offering that option for maybe a couple of weeks so far, so maybe it is still too soon for me to say. But a couple of days ago, I had an order and the buyer still used Paypal.

I haven’t had any issues, but also I haven’t had the chance to “use” it yet either, lol.

But let me also say that I am not a high-volume seller either. So maybe someone who sells a lot more will have more experience with it. :)

Agree with tom above. Have had an increase in sales but half of my sales in the last few weeks that I have been accepting credit cards have been through them and half through paypal. In a month a two you might get better answers with sales increasing for the holidays and people using the credit card option a little more longer its so new. I would definitely recommend it to sellers

I’m answering this as a buyer.

If you give me the option to buy with Bonanza Checkout and Paypal, I will choose Bonanza Checkout every time. If an item is offered by two sellers, I will choose the one who has Bonanza Checkout (or even Amazon Checkout) to avoid Paypal even if it is a little more expensive.

My sales in my booths have had an uptick in sales. However, I cannot attribute it to Bonanza Checkout yet, because most of them have been paid for with Paypal. As it becomes more well known that direct checkout is a choice here, more buyers may show up.

I am very interested in the long term result of Bonanza Checkout. The new Paypal return policy is enough to make me want to drop them. For what I sell that is a killer.
