Very well and thank you both, Cindy and Tom!
To tell the truth – it didn’t work. But no problem, I changed the prices
one at a time. :-) Didn’t kill me – LOL

It’s all in getting the correct value to use based on the original discount you applied to the item. Here are some values to use for some common (original) discounts and the negative values to restore the original [URL removed]

Here are some common discounts given followed by the negative number to return the item to the original [URL removed] 10, -11.111111 ; 15, -17.647 ; 20, -25 ; 25, -33.3333

DON’T FORGET to add a negative sign (i.e, -.111 per the example from CindyBear). Otherwise, you will discount the item again instead of restoring it back to the original price.

thanks, for got to put in the negative…I will correct

To change prices by a certain percentage
Update Items as a Group (Batch edit)
Item Basics
The box at top…over to the right

Select
Apply [URL removed] %
Fill in discount
Select Items
Select Apply to Items

Reversing the discount [URL removed]

percentage_to_change_by = (desired_price – current_price)/current_price

In the case of making a $9 become $10 again,

percentage_to_change_by = ($10 – $9)/$9 = 1/9 = 11.1%. Put in -11.1% in the apply discount box

Always test your figures on a few or one item to be sure it is doing what you want it to do

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
