My items 'views' show my own views

I noticed that every time I view my own items, it adds up in red numbers.
I tested that on another browser – no difference, keeps adding up.
I “cleared cache” (which is a usual “advise” and a total non-sense) – same thing.

It leads to a [URL removed] Are visitors seeing these RED numbers too ? or is it just for my own entertainment ?

Yes, they are.

To lower Your own views, You can edit Your items from batch or ‘Add or edit’ page, but every time You enter Your listing straight from its link, it is counted.

On other sites even the ‘preview’ option is counted as a view (haven’t checked it here).

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
