Now small marketplace sellers can also use the site to promote their eBay and Etsy stores. Knowles told AuctionBytes this is the first year that eBay Stores can participate in Free Shipping Day. “We’ve even created an eBay category for these sellers. There is no cost to sign up, so it’s basically a lot of free traffic,” he said. During the 1-day promotion, participating merchants offer free shipping with delivery by Christmas Eve. This year, Free Shipping Day is scheduled for Friday, December 16. But shoppers also use the site all year round. In 2008, 250 retailers participated in Free Shopping Day, and in 2010, over 1,750 merchants participated. We have just spoken with freeshippingtoday.com and they have agreed to add Bonanza as a category as soon as they have 100+ of our merchants signed up. @SensualPleasures, from their registration page: Merchant Sign-up Form Merchants that want to participate in Free Shipping Day can do so by filling out the form below. You can offer free shipping on all orders, or free shipping with restrictions. It’s up to you. In previous years merchants that offered free shipping on all orders received the bulk of the click throughs and sales. Merchants must offer some form of free shipping on Friday, Dec. 16th, 2011 with delivery by Christmas Eve to participate. Testing |

Well I went over to sign up….they have a category for Etsy, ebay stores, etc. but nothing for Bonanza stores. This sorta sucks we do not have one for ourselves and must go under the other categories :( |

@SensualPleasures, they are going to add a category for Bonanza but they need to have at least 100 merchants from Bonanza sign up. So be sure to include your Bonanza information when you do sign up and then tell all your friends |

Unfortunately…this is not an easy task to assume for one day. Love the concept and yes, it will be a great promotion. But for a booth my size, it would be an impossible feat to change all my listings to Free Shipping for one day or even one week. I believe it is not possible to change your listings to free shipping in bulk format, has that changed? Also, one would then have to revert all their items back to what they were originally after the promotion. Unless I’m missing something, this is not an option I can take part in. Since it’s for only one day could you use batch editor and add a statement to your listings for Free shipping for purchases on the date. Maybe also set a listing for this offer to explain how to get the free shipping? |

kind of thinking the same thing…especially in my book booth…there is no wiggle room to offer free shipping which would have to be priority to get make sure get to destination by Dec 24th…some things I could and the large bears will definitely have to go UPS ground…other options are just too costly-in some cases more costly than the item CindyBear's Den |

But there is no way to easily add a coupon or change all the listings. That’s the problem. If you sell jewelry and it usually ships for $4.00, it’s easy enough to create a coupon that will deduct that amount for all your items. We’re talking 2600 items here of all different shapes, sizes and weights. If only the batch editor would allow a switch over to Free, and then revert to the original shipping mode and weight. Signed up! I offer free shipping anyway so that’s the easy part. Most items I can ship on the same day as purchase, and if necessary I’ll pay for express mail to get it there by Christmas eve because it seems like a good promo. Nature's Treasures 'n Stuff |
