Hand-picked lists

Is it worth the effort to create a list? Thought it might be a GREAT opportunity to get some FREE advertising and possible SALES, but now I am not so sure.

I don’t make them very often myself anymore….but I am appreciative to those who include my items them in theirs. It is good for some extra views and if the HPL makes the showcase..then more views (though seller hpls do not make the showcase much anymore)…used to be all those were seller picked HPLs…

Even if you make one, you can only include no more than 2 items from your own booth…but they are fun in Picking a theme and trying to find nice item pictures that relates to the theme

Thanks for sharing. We were included in a HPL recently. We also are VERY appreciative to be include.

I ? making HPLs. There’s conspiracy theories about hwo they get picked for front page. One [URL removed]
You must include one item from Bonanza staff in your HPL.
I think this might be an accurate theory.
I usually make my listings on Sunday, when I have more time to fool around with stuff.

I’ve made only one list that had something of mine in it. My interests are often not what I sell.
I think the lists are fun to make. Window shopping from the comfort of my couch.
I try to take into consideration people who have low sales. People who have a lot of sales typically have a ‘following’ already.
Also, I try to get higher-priced items on my lists. I’d rather someone have a sale of a $40 item than a $5 item.
I also try to make sure I have only one item from each buyer. Every once in a while I cannot find another seller that carries the same thing, so I will rarely use the same seller for another item.
I just recently made lists ‘faith out loud’. One for gents attire and one for ladies’ wear. You can look at these to see how I do it at this point.
The more lists I make, the better I get at it.
I would recommend putting AT LEAST 40 items in a list. I think the amount of items in the list also gets consideration when determining what should go front page.
Lists show something like the first 20 (maybe 30) items. As soon as an items sells~~or sells out~~the next hidden item will come up on the list.
Don’t want to run out of items on your list!
