The seller has the decision to charge shipping or offer free shipping when they set up the item on Bonanza. Usually that depends on what they are selling, and how much they will earn after all the fees are calculated into the Items price. If it a item that doesn’t cost much to ship, and has an ok markup value, the seller will offer Free shipping. If they item doesn’t have a high markup value ( from what they paid for it ) and if it is heavy, they may charge the buyer the shipping cost. and it will show up under “shipping price”

If you are the seller, like others have mentioned, you need to be very careful in determining your costs to ship to various locations in order to know what to charge the buyer. Determining Shipping has become almost an art depending on which shipping service to use, how big or how heavy the package and also distance it is going to. That and shipping outside of the US to international locations is extremely pricey.

There are all sorts of PRIORITY Mail boxes available (For FREE) if you register a ID name and address and password on the USPS website and they will deliver your Priority mail shipping supply s to your door to use at no charge. Note that Priority Mail ship costs are by weight and distance (unless using the Flat Rate Box/Envelopes) and usually more expensive than Parcel Mail Service but Priority Mail shipments have free insurance included in its costs.

If you plan on using UPS or a non US Postal Service shipper, that can get expensive as they use Dimensional box (SIZE) pricing as well as weight and distance so you have to know your costs else you may lose money if you estimate it wrong.

Good cushioned packing is also important, There is much more to shipping than just sticking it in a box and hoping for the best that it will arrive.

If you are a buyer asking, then the buyer pays shipping, unless the seller offers “free shipping” which essentially means that the shipping is already added into the price of the item…so the buyer is still paying for shipping

If you are thinking of selling then you will have to determine your costs and make a decision on how to handle it and set it up in your listings

The buyer pays but you have to set up your shipping preferences. That means finding out what it cost to send the item to different places and filling out the shipping information in your store or booth.
