  Welcome to my Bonanzle Booth!

  I'm an avid machine and hand knitter and enjoy all sorts of fiber crafts. My hubby, Jerry, is a retired History professor who would really like to get back into teaching, but his health issues prevent that. We've been married for forty-two years, have three children and eleven grandchildren who keep us young and active -- and usually exhausted!

  I began designing over 39+ years ago, marketing my own needlepoint & cross stitch patterns, then original crochet a year later and the following year I got my first knitting machine. I was in LOVE with that new crafting medium!! After three months of intensive lessons, I took my hand-knit and crochet patterns, converting them to the knitting machine and began developing patterns for my 'signature' line of knit and starched baskets called Stitch 'n' Starch.

  This began as a journey through history. My grandmother and great aunts did a lot of starching and I am fortunate enough to have their original patterns in that elegant, spidery handwriting of the day. Just about all of those original patterns have now been converted to machine knitting.

  We have attempted to design memories of those very same bygone eras and bring them into the world of modern day machine knitting. Not only do I market the finished crafted items, but also the patterns so other machine knitters can produce these elegant items. I also market graphs for hand knitting and my latest venture into another passion of mine, cross stitch patterns. All of them now in digital download format so I can offer them at reduced pricing.

  I'm into Craft Fairs, several online forums for crafting, hand knitting, machine knitting, cross stitch and marketing my lines of merchandise. Now that I've joined Bonanza, I am having a wonderful time creating great friendships.

  Favorite types of items to buy
  Oh gosh ... well, yarn is #1 on my list, #2 is more yarn (so is #3). Knitting machines are another purchasing passion of mine. I own several. I love to collect bone china cups & saucers, teapots, unusual salt & pepper shakers & miniature pitchers.
