  I'm a long time homeschooling mom of six, down to the wire with my youngest close to finishing. I also have four grandkids, with another on the way, and I just acquired three step-grandchildren. As a mom, I love anything having to do with homemaking, like cookbooks, etc. My mom and dad were antique dealers, which gave me a love for vintage. I used to make a lot of crafts and doll clothing, which I may start doing again if I can squeeze it in between my vintage endeavors. I have been selling online for several years and have a blog at www.dodiescupboard.blogspot.com.

  After several days of trying out different avatars, I finally settled on the canary for two reasons--one, it really matches my banner pretty well, and --two, I deal with a health condition called "MCS" or "Multiple Chemical Senstivities." It makes it difficult to impossible for me to work outside the home, which is largely why I am trying to work from home. MCS'ers are sometimes called "canaries," because we are sensitive to chemicals at a minute level that does not seem to bother the general populace--kind of like the canary in the coal mine.
