Can someone please help me identify what type of doll this is and what was it used for?

I’m not sure what type of doll this is. Me and DH was thinking it was a cover for a teapot possibly. My daughter found it and had it in her room for a while. My questions are, What is it made of, What could it have been used for, and How old could it be? Any info would be wonderful. Thank you. [URL removed]

My neighbor (when I was a kid) had something almost same as this but it was used to cover the spare roll of toilet paper while a pretty little knit doll was covering it until “further need”…

Anyway, Good luck on your research next

See MONTROSE's booth

The face and arms of the doll look like they are composition to me…the clothing looks like it is yarn that’s hand knit or crocheted and attached to the doll body. Looks like someone salvaged an old doll and made something “new” out of it.

Try this again and see if the picture will come through. :)

I thought about that too, but it has 1 hole on each side of the doll.

There is nothing under the doll. There is also no markings. Its just the head and the arms with a crochet dress with 2 holes one on each side of the doll.

A toilet paper can work for you but I think now you know what to do. Or you can get help from [URL removed] easily.
