Antique scissors- any info will be great

H-E-L-P!!! I have this antique scissors, cant find any info about them. they are marked but it’s unreadable.

Montrose- Castelnuovo collezioni is my brand watermark. nothing to do with the scissors- except of course they are from the collection of the castelnuovo family…

You might contact Carol Meacham at [URL removed] She could tell you if these scissors have anything to do with sewing or she might have some other ideas.

They could be barbering scissors or medical surgical shears. Just some ideas for where to search.

I had an old pair of scissors at the flea market a week or so ago and sold them to somebody who buys antique scissors, sharpens them, and resells them. He was giving me some pointers on things to look for and he gave me his business card. I’ll look him up and see what I can find out for you.

I have never seen a pair like that, but it appears that when closed they would be straight like a knife. perhaps better to fit in a traveling kit of some kind.
