Fernco couplings

Hi all,

Has anyone ever used Fernco Flex couplings. Are they used for plumbing repairs only?? Or what?

Primarily a plumbing repair/replacement product, but I used some couplings on swimming pool filtration system repairs and as a quick fix on a dog pen chain link fence pipe repair.

The Fernco name has been synonymous with providing innovative and high performance couplings to the Australian and New Zealand plumbing and drainage market for many years. Establishing Fernco (Australia) Pty Ltd enables the group to focus on developing the market place and reaffirms commitment to supplying the most extensive range of exceptional quality flexible couplings in the region.

With that mentioned, products include plumbing and speciality couplings, tees, elbows, shower drain connectors manhole adaptors and donuts. All products connect pipes of the same or different sizes and materials quickly and easily.

  • It is also highly recommended within uSA. Hope this helps some?

Yep, definitely a plumbing fitting.

Being a female. I might use them in all sorts of strange ways. But yeah they are found in the plumbing section of most stores. I myself planted flowers in one of the bigger ones. But hey when you live on Junk Mountain you have to get creative.

Oh yeah, the plumb-qwik connectors. Most local codes frown on the unshielded ones, especially if you use them to adapt sizes. But in the field I’ve seen them last 5 years or more. Except in restaurants- the grease eats ’em right up.
