Search attributes video - is it still applicable?

I just opened my booth and I was watching some of the Bonanza videos to help me learn how to navigate this site. The video in question is a 2009 tutorial on Search Attributes. Wondering if this is still something that is applicable. Is the return on the time investment worth it?

That probably should be removed/changed..many things have changed since then with the site and with google shopping

For the most part if you fill out the item traits for each category that is offered, then then your attributes should be okay..

as long as you have Brand, mpn, upc (at least 2 of these) or isbn then you will have the attributes necessary for google shopping

If there is not an item trait for those in the category you are listing and you have them, then add them either at end of listing in this format, or in search optimization in batch edit (update items as group)

Thank You for the tip. I sell primarily lingerie items, vintage and trendy, so the designer is frequently not listed. Same with colors / styles. I will use the attributes tag to cover what Bonanza does not have standard. Driving traffic seems like the biggest challenge here. I sell on Ebay too, and that was never a problem.

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
