Item description
BORDERLINE
The Magazine Which Dares the Unknown
Volume 1, Number 1 (September, 1964)
Los Angeles: Sherbourne Press, (1964).
First edition.
The premiere issue of the popular fringe-science magazine Borderline. Published by Louis Linetsky of Sherbourne Press in Los Angeles and edited by psychic Sydney Omarr. Borderline featured stories of the paranormal and the unusual. This first issue starts off with a 12-page article by author Henry Miller about human awareness and its possibilities for the infinite, an appropriate topic for the early 1960's. Other significant articles include: We Tried to Save the President [JFK], Astronauts and ESP, Seeing with the Fingertips, The Man Who Reads the Minds of Animals, History of Psychical Research, and The Next World War (even topical today).
An interesting vintage read that's just nearly 60 years old, and in great shape.
Illustrated wraps. Large octavo; size is 5-1/4" by 7-3/4".
Monochromatically illustrated. 128 pages.
