cloth hardcovers w/gilt titling to spines and front boards, 4vols., all four
are first editions, very good+ nearly fine/n.a., 8vo (9.125x6?), v.1, 647pp.; v.2, 621pp.; v.3, 559pp.;
v.4, 594pp. Spines lightly faded, text block very lightly age toned, all hinges
and joints are tight and solid, no foxing, no soiling no previous owner?s
signatures or stamps, no markings of any sort in text block. Clean, bright and
tight, this set of highly desirable tomes were the recipients of the 1935 Pulitzer
Prize for biography. A wonderful Capture of Tyme, and quite the distinctive set
of books indeed!
