Condition Details:
Half-Speed Mastered Audiophile Pressing fom CBS Master Sound. Vinyl plays nicely; a few light hairlines (play-graded). Cover looks great, a few creases near edges; light scuffing, surface impressions and some discoloration spots (front/back); front has some surface abrasion. Inner-sleeve is original (rice-paper backed poly). Spine is mostly readable with mild wear. Little shelf-wear along bottom-edge, slightly more noticeable wear along top edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and a few divots. (Not a cut-out.)

About The Record:
The Firebird is a ballet and orchestral concert work by the Russian composer Igor Stravinsky. It was written for the 1910 Paris season of Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes company. It is performed on this album by the New York Philharmonic conducted by Pierre Boulez. The Firebird's mortal and supernatural elements are distinguished with a system of leitmotifs placed in the harmony dubbed "leit-harmony". Stravinsky made a point to use many unique effects in the orchestra, including with ponticello, col legno, flautando, glissando, and fluttertongue.
