Item description
Based on hallmarks that are similar to our other Austro-Hungarian pieces found at the same sale along with the same monogrammed initials, we are reasonably certain these are in fact from Hungary c. 1870s.
They seem to be used as cold meat forks although one has tines that now out and the other is straight.
They have been together for over 150 years so no reason to separate them now.
They are likely 800 silver handled assuming it is Diana?s profile in one of the hallmarks. They are extremely tiny and even using our microscope we can?t verify with certainty but are pretty confident.
Very cool item to add to your collection and realize you are getting two for the price of one.
