For Parts Or Repair Only Sanyo Betacord Vcr and similar items

Vintage SANYO Betacord machine model VCR 4500 and looks to be in good cosmetic appearance but it does not work. Powers on and makes a sound not unlike a vacuum cleaner which doesn't work either, seems like it wants to start grabbing the tape but it won't. Sold AS IS for parts or repair. These Beta machines were notorious for bad motors so hopefully that is all it is but I cannot make any promises in that regard. I would give it only a slight chance such as one in a hundred that if you took the cover off and cleaned and oiled the mechanism it might start working but again no guarantees and it is sold AS IS as not working. Bought from a neighbor at a yard sale who found it in their attic and would appear their parents used it until it gave out then put it away. Heavy thing at least by comparison to later ones. Will probably ship by UPS unless you want to come pick it up. If you aren't too far away then it is possible USPS would come out cheaper so both are offered. if in doubt pick UPS and if it comes out less otherwise we can adjust.
