Item description
This is an original early-pattern U.S. Army Tank Corps officer collar or cap insignia from World War I, confirmed to be a non-reproduction piece. It features the iconic forward-facing British Mark I rhomboid tank design adopted by the U.S. Army around 1918. These pins were typically cast in bronze for officers and represent the formation of the independent Tank Corps in 1917. A significant piece of militaria, this item predates later designs that were reversed and included the "Fear Naught" motto
