Item description
Here we have this unique hand-coiled and burnished Jemez Pueblo pottery bowl. It is a stunning example of Native American art. Created by the talented artist Carol Grace Loretto, this piece features intricate incised designs inspired by ancient Anasazi culture. The natural, earth-toned terracotta clay provides a warm backdrop for the striking black geometric patterns, which are etched with precision. As a respected Jemez artist, Carol Grace Loretto was taught traditional pottery techniques by her mother, Cecilia Loretto. She has been an active potter since at least 1977 and often signs her pieces with "C G" or her full name. This bowl is a unique collectible and a perfect addition to any collection of Southwest or Native American art.
