Item description
This is for a beautiful oil on panel by the listed California artist Fidelia Taylor. This is most definitely the Cross of the Martyrs in the Sangre De Cristo/Blood of Christ mountains in New Mexico.
The complex textures and colors are reminiscent of Jack Dudley's style. Fidelia Taylor's family holds most of her art so this piece is a rare sight. The demand for her art hasn't changed but the supply/access to it is limited. Fidelia Taylor was a contemporary of fellow artists Charles Rieffel and Charles Fries.
This is in great condition from the early 1900's. The original frame is excellent. Ready to hang.
