See all photos. I'm only a little knowledgeable about watches so please ask any questions or need for different photos and I'll do my best to accommodate. Some of the following information was from research on my part that I hope is correct. Please use your own experience by use of the actual photos to confirm. Please ask for more if needed.
Here is an Elgin B.W. Raymond pocket watch from 1943. Outside shows some light brassing on edges and the crown, overall fine light scratches. Runs strong with one brief hesitation noted when tested over several days?would benefit from a routine clean and lube for sure since I have no idea when last serviced. Case back has a slight shallow dent. Plastic crystal is so nice it may have been replaced. This is a 16s, 21?jewel, lever?set, open?face, nickel 3/4?plate movement adjusted to temperature, isochronism, and five positions, railroad?grade quality. Serial 41978843, Grade 478, Model 15. A classic WWII?era Elgin. I have opened the watch for photos but have done nothing else, I have not cleaned or polished in any way and leave that to the new owner.
