Item description
These are four classic bowling shirts from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There are King Louie, Hilton and Nat Nast branded shirts. They were all owned by the same person, Clarence Schreiber. It would be hard to find shirts with better provenance.
They represent four of the sponsors that he bowled for, including:
The Leilani Lounge, a Polynesian bar and restaurant that opened i 1961. This shirt has Milshore Classic on the front
The Palladium Coffee Shop
Kalt's Theater Bar - A well know bar next to an historic theater
Gene Ann's
These shirts have extensive chain stitch embroidery, including small bowling balls and pins on some collars and pockets. Most have colored inset pleats.
\
They're all named with either Clary, Clarence, or Schreiber. He was my grandmother's a friend. His estate was settled in 1996. I obtained these shirts when cleaning out his house. They've been in storage as long as I've had them.
