Please note--the tetradrachm is equal to four drachms--the drachm is much smaller and one fourth the weight. Kassander. As regent, 317-305 BC. Amphipolis mint in Macedon ~ in the name of Alexander III the Great of Macedon, Struck ca. 316-311 AD. Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck. Reverse: Zeus seated left on backless throne, legs parallel and situated on a prominent groundline, eagle in outstretched right hand, grounded scepter in left; wreath in left field, pellet-in-? below throne. NGC Certified Graded Very Fine. Nicer in hand.
