Beautiful Antique Edwardian White Cotton Bloomers ? Named "Carrie E. Southworth"
?A stunning piece of turn-of-the-century history. These Edwardian-era drawers are crafted from a lightweight, breathable white cotton lawn and feature exquisite feminine detailing.
?Key Features:
?Provenance: Hand-inked name in the waistband: "Carrie E. Southworth" in elegant period script.
?Design: Features a closed seam (not split-crotch), making these much more wearable for modern lounging or as "bloomer" shorts.
?Detailing: The leg openings are finished with beautiful eyelet lace trim (Broderie Anglaise) and delicate horizontal pintucks.
?Construction: Soft gathering at the waist for a voluminous, flattering silhouette.
Condition:
Remarkable condition for a garment over 100 years old. The cotton is bright white and structurally sound. There are a few tiny pinholes near the seam (pictured) and no significant staining or "shattering" of the lace.
