Item description
This is a paperback book, Follow the River by James Alexander Thom. "A historical novel based on the true story of Mary Ingles, a pioneer woman captured by Shawnee Indians in 1755 Virginia during the Draper's Meadow Massacre. The book chronicles her survival during captivity and her incredible 1,000-mile journey back home by following the Ohio River, highlighting her resilience and strength in the untamed wilderness." I have seen it noted that the story includes some pretty extreme violence and is not for the faint of heart (just FYI).
This copy is a Ballantine (Random House) mass market paperback edition, but I'm not sure what year it was printed (number line indicates 50th printing, but the original 1981 copyright date is the only year shown, and trying to find out any further info became a headache). It is in excellent used condition with clean pages and no writing in it, and the cover looks nice with no folds or creases. Asking $4.00 obo. Everything I have listed for sale is "or best offer", so feel free to make an offer.

ALL ITEMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR LOCAL PICKUP.
I sell a huge variety of stuff to supplement my income and help me put the last of my kids through college. Some items come from flea markets or estate sales, and some come from around our home, but many items come to me from my extended family of hardcore hoarders. So, the variety really can be vast and unpredictable. Please check back often, because you really never know what I will have from one day to the next!
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
