RA-TA-PLAN-!
By Dorothy Ogburn [nee Stevens].
Boston: Little, Brown, and Company, 1930.
First edition, first printing.
"Published January 1930" statement to the copyright page, 1930 date printed to the title page.
The first of three Georgia set mysteries by the Georgia author, essayist, Shakespeare scholar and writer, and wife of equal rights and labor activist and lawyer Charlton Greenwood Ogburn.
A smartly plotted, southern character rich mystery, spiced with African-American dialect, and includes the score and lyrics for a French song, known by a Black lady character who is discovered to speak French.
A nicely presentable vintage collectible.
Faint soil stains to the covers, lightly bumped to the front cover's upper corners, else square, firm and very good in polished black linen with yellow titles framed in decorative green to the front cover and with yellow titles to the spine; lacking a dust jacket.
