Item description
Vintage Olympus OM-1 MD 35mm film camera - FOR PARTS ONLY.
Body only - body is in very good cosmetic condition with minimal signs of handling.
Working Condition
Mechanically, the camera appeared to work when I brought it home, although it never lasted long enough to test it with film. The shutter tripped and the shutter speed seemed to work. However, after I tried the timer the mirror stopped completing its cycle and got stuck in the up position. The film advance suddenly started advancing endlessly without needing to trip the shutter. When the back is opened and the film advance lever engaged, the two black partitions no longer cover the shutter completely. I tried a new battery and the light meter didn't appear to work.
There may be other unknown issues.
So, basically, nothing on it works after I brought it home and started playing with it. However, the body is in nice shape.
