The binding is in good condition. The pages are clean and there is a bookplate on the front end paper. The green cover shows a small amount of wear. The jacket is price clipped and the spine is faded. Good in good dust-jacket. Hardcover.
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, S.J., died quite suddenly on Easter Day, April 10, 1955 in New York. At that time only a small group of scientists, theologians and friends knew of the monumental importance of his work. Most of his writings were still unpublished, and his unorthodox approach to the problems of Christianity and evolution had made it impossible for him to accept the recognition due a scholar of his stature.
