Masterpieces of War Reporting
The Great Moments of World War II
Louis L. Snyder
New York: Julian Messner
Copyright 1962
555 pages
The binding is in good condition and the pages are clean, there are about five or six pages that have a hard crease on the upper corner and there is a small stamping in the front. The black cover has a small amount of edge wear. The front flap of the jacket is corner cut but the price is still there. The jacket is scuffed and edge worn and the spine is very faded. Acceptable. Hardcover.
This book presents the outstanding journalism of the Second World War, the unforgettably brilliant reporting by the Correspondents who were there, in the foxholes and dugouts, on the battlefields and in the battered cities. These selections, numbering more than 150, are arranged chronologically to present a continuous narrative of vivid action. Each report is introduced by an authoritative account of the background--the story behind the story--and its importance in the overall picture. (#00002521)
