Twelve-year old Don Jackson, rockhound scientist and explorer of anything that looked exciting around his Minnesota home town, made discoveries ranging from flying saucers, to hidden sea chests, to dinosaur fossils. The flying saucer discovery, which turned out to be something quite different, had made everyone very cautious about any "discoveries by Don Jackson." Therefore, it was absolutely necessary that he enlist the help of a museum when he found the dinosaur fossil.
