Fanny farmer glass candy?

Hi, I just ran across about a dozen Fanny Farmer candy boxes filled with glass candies. These were from a window display at a candy store.

Are there collectors for stuff like this? Is there any value? I hunted the web last night and couldn’t find anything similar. Might they be a rare find?

Would the Fanny Farmer brand bring value to the glass display candy or would one want to sell the candy as individual pieces? Or make refirgereator magnets?

They are all in the original boxes but the cellophane isn’t too good on some of them. I don’t think they are very old as one box has a 1996 dat of it but the other boxes have no date and are the more traditional looking FF style of box.

I have no idea what to do with them. Anyone that can provide a bit of guidance would be very much appreciated. Oscar

i worked at a FF in Peabody Mass when I was 15y/o. I wouldn’t touch the cellophne. put them in the older box with the better ones on top. Start at $50.00 or OBO;and make sure you Craigs List it in the Boston area.
Hate to say it but the other place with the auction might be the way to go unless your prepared to sit on it for a while

Pics are always best to provide before deciding on what to do next.

I googled all night. Nothing even resembling it. They look just like a yummy box of chocolates. Every box is different. (well I think a couple are duplicates.

Thanks for the pointers Barntiques. I’ll put them on CL and here. I’m not really a hurry person so forget the auctions. The swamp isn’t really getting things bid up these days anyway.

You might want to post a few photos’.

There are folks who collect candy boxes and advertising items.

If you know the provenance be sure to include it with each one.

DON’T mess with the original cellophane!

Have you googled it yet to see if there are any similar items up for sale anywhere?

Can you show a picture maybe of the item?

need to see pics….there may be buyers because of the advertising and unique nature of this. Hate to say it also…but the other site is a good place to start. Listings are free if you start under .99 cents. If no interest just cancel the listing at least 12 hours before it ends (don’t wait for the people who esnipe.)

I have listed items there just for the feedback and to see if there was any interest.

A friend with a glass musuem just bought fake fruit for the displays. Pretty glass candy would look nice!

You never know! Best of luck.
