Background burner problems, anyone else having problems, too?

I’ve been having problems using the background burner for about a month and a half.

I reached out to customer support around November 22nd and had a few email exchanges with the final one saying [URL removed]

“Hello Sharon,

Sorry to hear about the problems that you have had with the Background Burner. Based on your previous messages and our conversation, it would appear that there is nothing we can do at this time to resolve the problems that you have described. In the future it is likely that our programmer will work on optimizing the Background Burner so that all users can have the best possible experience, but I don’t have an ETA on those improvements at this time.

Sorry for the inconvenience."

So then I tried to reach out to the higher ups using the Feedback section on November 25th to please not give up on it but it has not been published yet.

I do not know what else to do and I’m wondering if there is anyone else out there who is having problems with it when using any type of browser. One browser works better than the others but still, there’s a technical problem somewhere. I’m at a loss on if I should just give up on it as the last message from Bonz did not offer much information really.

Or does someone else read the message from Bonz that the background burner is still very much important to Bonanza?

I’m just wondering if the background burner has been given up on and if I should just stop using it altogether if it is what it is. It is a pain to use as it stands right now.

Really down in the dumps about it. I liked it. Most times all it took to get the background burner to do well was take a good picture to begin with, use a steady hand with edits and they’d come out nice.

Sharon

Any suggestions on background burning for free by any chance? When the background burner was working on Bonz, it was hard to find one that was comparable on the internet.

You’re welcome. I hope the site is useful for you. At least, it’s free and free is good.

Hi [URL removed] Here’s a quick search I did for free image background removal tool at Google [URL removed]

I noticed that some of the search results mentioned simply making the background transparent in an image editing program to remove it. I never thought about this. I suppose it could then be flood filled with white if necessary.

I use Bonz’s BBurner occasionally, but haven’t in a couple months, so wonder if I’d have the same problem. I’ll let you know if I do. It was fairly easy to use, but if I had a busy foreground product it was harder to end up with a good image. At those times it was better to leave the image as it was.

Thank you very much, Sandi. Yes, if you could let me know if you are having any issues with the burner that would be great. You are right in that there are some times where it is best not to use the burner. Especially for me white items did not do well with it or if I took the pic and the bright…

light hit it too much on one side, then it was hard to get the burner to work right with it or at least I can say it took a while to get the background to come out nice while keeping the item looking nice.

Keep in mind that the purpose of these kind of programs is to separate the item from the background. The more complex (busy) the background image is, the harder it is for the software to isolate the item and remove the background. No software will be perfect in doing that. Giving the software a sharply focused, higher contrast image that is adequately and evenly illuminated will produce the best results. Software that produces a transparent background won’t be any better. It simply adds the additional step of having to backfill/flood with white.

Thank you, Tom. It sounds like you know what you are talking about BUT I’ve never understood the photo slang language lol, so that is why I was just grateful for the Bonanza background burner. I just take my pics on a white background poster board in natural light and usually the background burner..

the background burner did nice.

Sandi.

I need more room rather than a comment to ask what you mean by [URL removed]
