Reputation score/ranking

Would like to know how that is calculated, please?
I have 99 feedback with 100% Positive yet my reputation score is only 23 ?
Tried searching HELP but couldn’t find reference to it.
Thanks,
Marge

The reputation score carried over from when the community help was a place to ask questions about identifying antiques, jewelry, or other items about which a seller needed information. Sellers could post photos and ask for help, and those who answered would get scored based on accuracy of the answer.
For some reason, when this forum was turned into seller help, the score remained. I did make a suggestion in Feedback to have this removed as it may inhibit sellers from asking questions, but it has not been moderator approved.

It is as My Texas Treasures says..it is left over from not community help but when this section was called The Round Table where people asked for help with identifications and such…the reputation was acquired when your answers were voted as correct or close to correct…though you could just get points for posting a comment…

Helping out other sellers in the Round Table was one way to get reputation points..The Round Table was on the community page for a good 2 years…surprised how few people used it to help other sellers

People vote on your answers/questions here on this board. Your reputation here has nothing to do with your feedback score.

Newbie here. A minute ago while posting a question, I noticed the “Reputation” thing, and putting the word in search bar brought me here. I’ve read a few replies…still don’t understand it.

But “Tried searching HELP but couldn’t find reference to it” — that part I understand already!

Oh well. At least now there’s somewhere I’m considered a 10…

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
