Shipping class 3 items?

Hi guys,
I have an ancient formula for a blend of essential oils that originated in the Dark Ages…this blend protected its users from the Black Death [bubonic plague]. I understand some of the oils are a class 3 substance…Is this OK to ship in small amounts? I was thinking of putting them in 15 ml bottles with taped up and sealed tops—carefully wrapped up in a box. I have bought these same oils before online and never noticed any special warnings or have been prevented from getting them delivered to my doorsteps….So, if anyone knows for sure—please let me know!
thanks, you’re the best!

Thais is very interesting…..but you have to be careful about saying anything about “cures” or alternative health issues. That is not allowed and the FDA will come after you. Good Luck…..Keep Going.

What is the name of the oil?

There should be a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for the oil. If there is not and you know the name, you can look it up online.

On the MSDS it will give the classification and Proper Shipping Name, as well as Packing Group to which it belongs, as to whether or not it is hazardous as far as shipping with US DOT and air IATA or not.
You would need to be certified to ship hazardous materials or may qualify for small quantity exception if that chemical name were on the list.

Class 3 means flammable (at least according to DOT (Department of Transportation)) and I think that is what you are asking. If you are mixing small amounts of Class 3 materials with other materials, you would have to have the new “mixture” tested for it’s flammability rating. It may be the “mixture” does not flash at low enough temperature (I think it’s 76 degrees F or lower) to be classified as flammable. However, any quantity, if flammable, would have to be shipped according to DOT regulations. There are “limited quantity” exceptions that are less stringent when shipping smaller amounts but you still need to meet those regulations.

u still need a ormd stamp or sticker on two of the boxs and it can only ship ground and you need to let ups/usps/fedex know it class 3 or ormd hazmat it a good question and unless ur a shipper for a company that ships ormd you wouldnt know and if you dont and they find out it can cost you up 10k and 6 months in jail

Hi y’all!
Thanks for answering my ‘burning’ question….Hhmm, only 6 months in jail? That wouldn’t give me enough time to take care of my health problems…my blind eye, my teeth, suspected diabetes, and my brain-hurting…that 10K fine would be bad tho! I better keep this kosher!

Presently, the name of this formula is, “Uncle Raven’s Old Thyme Immunity Support”…and will be sold in 15ml bottles with secured and taped-up tops. Just for giggles, I’ll run down to the PO today and see what they have to say…I still can get all these ingrediants shipped to my house w/o restrictions…even the flammable ones [I’m pretty sure 2 out of the 5 oils in my blend are flammable]. So, we’ll see what we will see! I swear by the stuff! Everytime I forget to use it—something bad happens to me! I forgot it on my extended weekend trip and….well, let’s just say I deeply regretted it! One of the ingrediants is cinnimon—while it is harsh on the skin—no known pathogens or viruses can survive in its presence!

Now, how about the name? Do you guys think that would fly with the FDA?
Thanks for all your responses!
