Suspicious activity with wish lists?

I have had 3 “people” in 3 days with 3 different “bonzuser” screen names put some of my items in their wish lists and when I go to look at their wish lists, one has over 9,000 items, one had over 12,000 and this last one has almost 14,000 items in their wish list. All of these items they are putting in their wish lists are from different Bonanza booths. They are only on here for 1 day, have no feedback and have no items for sale. I cannot tell where they are from as they have no profile.

Another Bonanzler has posted something similar about this, but I have been a nervous wreck wondering what is going on. Am I worrying for nothing? Could this be malicious or just mere weird coincidences?

I have emailed Support and I hope to hear from them soon. Should I put my booth on vacation for safety purposes until something can be figured out what is going on? Anyone else noticing this? Thank you :)

:UPDATE 4-3-16: Someone from Support emailed me last night saying the activity DOES sound a bit suspicious and that they are currently taking a closer look into this and thanked me for bringing this matter to their attention. Also, I had another “person” who added items to their wish list and theirs has almost 19,000! Also, I do not ship outside the US either, and I am going to double check my settings to make sure just in case. I will keep updating if I hear any more.

:UPDATE 4-4-16: Have not heard anything else. I would love it if someone from Bonz could reply on here or put out a bulletin as to what could possibly be going on since a lot of us sellers are noticing this going on in our booths :)

:UPDATE 4-5-16: Still have NOT heard anything else from support, other than in another post they put they were looking into it. I NOW have a new person to add to my total, they have over 12,000 items in their wish list! :(

This is strange. I saw your earlier posts and I wish Bonanza would respond sooner. Hope the team can figure this out. Please keep us all informed. Thank you! Rita momentsinthyme

Don’t put your booth on vacation.
As I see it – there might be people trying to play some weird games,
meaning maybe trying to do some harm – but it can not happen with wish lists.
Maybe it’s simply a glitch.
Just ignore it.

I only sell to buyers located in the USA and while I know while this will limot my sales, as far as a drop-ship scheme, I will ONLY ship to the Paypal address on file, not to an override address.

I have the same thing happening on both of my booths. The user signed up on the 24th of March, and now has over 4300 items on their wish list.
The other thing to take into consideration is their activity is bumping up the fees for when an item does sell.
There is nothing to suggest that this is ‘usual’ ‘legitimate’ activity. On the contrary. I hope Bonanza is investigating it and monitoring it.
In the meantime, keep those red flags up and take all precautions.
If you can, keep us posted on Bonanza’s response.

I just made a suggestion that Users Location be required in the profile to avert any potential problems.

KathysCreations says: April 03, 2016

It is waiting moderator approval, which I suppose has to be done before it becomes visible. If you support it when it does, please vote.

Great idea! I have updated what I heard so far and will continue to do so. I have had some sellers message me saying they are also contacting support so that Bonz can see alot of us are noticing this and how strange it is.

Another thought just [URL removed] this could also be an effort to bog down Bonanza and/or perpetrate the website.

Do a generic search and be certain your items with your descriptions are not showing up on some overseas marketplace. I found nearly 200 of mine that that been placed for sale by someone on an Asian marketplace with an exorbitant price. I assumed they were going to buy it from me and then have it shipped to their buyer – kind of a drop-ship scheme with me as a supplier. I contacted the website it was on and it was eventually taken down. This is bad because some of the items of mine that they had listed were already sold by me. I need not tell you other problems this could create for our booth/store.

I just noticed the same thing. One user has over 41,000 items, 2058 PAGES! The item they put on their list was my LOT Stick Pins Lapel Hat Pins. This item does not show up on Google or any search because it doesn’t have all the criteria needed. Nor do I have the information it needs, so I have to manually promote this. Most of the items in this users wish list are video games, components, systems, postage stamps, pet stuff, clothes, jewelry, the whole shabang across the board. Yes, it is weird. And I, too, only ship to USA and PayPal verified addresses.

Scam or someone has WAY too much time on their hands scouring Bonanza.

Under “My Booth” scroll all the way to the bootom and there is a heading title “Recent Activity” and it will say if someone has added your items to their wish list or if they left feedback for you, etc.

Thanks kyliesklotheskloset, i do have a couple, but weird, one of them saved a college i made of some of my items!! one had over 19000 items in their wish list, another had over 41000 but this one not active since middle of March.

misskeech says: April 03, 2016

“Collage, not college lol

kyliesklotheskloset says: April 03, 2016

Yep! Sounds like the ones that have been doing mine too! That is so weird to wish-list your collage. It’s okay on the spelling, lol looks like I misspelled bottom and douple posted, lol

misskeech says: April 03, 2016

One other thing, can you see the date that they added the items to their lists? I dont see a date anyplace.

misskeech says: April 04, 2016

NM, Duh…lol, it would be between the dates they were active.

I’ve been hit by Bonzuser_unyog [URL removed] who has 40,884 items in their wishlist. I don’t think it’s a glitch or joke. I think someone is trying to steal in some way. I don’t ship overseas at this time.

If I block the user will my items be removed from that wishlist? I just blocked the person and got this [URL removed]

Ignore purchases from these [URL removed] bonzuser_unyog.

I don’t like seeing the recent activity regarding this person in my account though. Wish we could reset our recent activity widget.

Thanks,
Sandi

“I think someone is trying to steal in some way.” What do You have in mind? What they can possible do without Your participation?
EmbellishMart says: April 05, 2016

Not sure, but clever criminals are clever, lol! Some steal images to re-list and tell potential customers that they can create the image exactly, acting as if the images are of their products.

EmbellishMart says: April 05, 2016

Not only are they technically stealing, but images take a lot of time and effort to produce. These thieves are cutting their listing time in half by stealing images.

As some have shared, this person is [URL removed] Bonzuser_unyog 3/24-3/28 40,849, and my “Recent Activity” widget is clear. I’m glad!

Here are 3 that have added to my wish list also and the dates they were active!!

Bonzuser_renia

Bonzuser_apikj
