Why buyers allow to lie in feedback

Have gotten 25 sales on Bonanza, only three left feedback!

Two of these sales are negative, where the buyer has flat out lied! First negative the buyer claimed the product was broken, sent buyer instructions the same day the product was delivered for them to return! The buyer refused, so requested pictures to be sent to my email address. The pictures were of a good vase not broken. This buyer threatens me, so we agreed on a full refund and the buyer keeps the product! This still results in negative feedback, the buyer was allowed to remove their negative!

Second negative Purchase date 12/09/2020, the product was on backorder! Contacted the buyer immediately with options, of a full refund and sent them a coupon if they wish to purchase another item. The buyer replied on 12/10/2020 for a full refund and even thanked me for a quick response on the matter so they can buy another item for their Christmas gift. Well, almost a month later, on 01/04/2020 this buyer leaves negative feedback!

All communication from both buyers sent to support Bonanza, their reply is buyers can edit and remove their feedback but not sellers. It is not like I am leaving negative feedback for all buyers only the bad ones to warn other sellers of the bad apples!

How much more giving and begging do sellers have to do to avoid unwanted negative feedback from buyers! All the reviews am reading now about Bonanza, see the bad customers looking to fraud sellers come straight to Bonanza and Bonanza allows them to fraud sellers.

Third transaction buyer says item poor quality, asked the buyer if wanted a full refund or replacement sent. The buyer requested a replacement sent without returning the product. Am waiting on this buyer to receive a replacement and see if they leave negative even after you go above and beyond to offer good service.

At least eCrater, Esty, eBay removes negatives when the seller provides proof of buyer agreeing to refund, exchange, or replacements.

Have spent over $100 or more on Bonanza to sell here, not anymore unless they change their fees and buyer feedback previlages!

etsy DOES NOT remove negaqtive feedback when the seller proves the buyer was out of line. Etsy is horrible to the selers, almost like they like to punish sellers. Etsy has cost me a lot of money. I would ask for someone in management in your reply email to Bonanza to review the situation. Maybe not the second one but for the first transaction.

Don’t give in to refunds without return, or proof of breakage. People take lessons on the internet on how to get free stuff.

Don’t send a replacement for something buyer claims is poor quality. Why the heck would they WANT a replacement, if it’s so crappy?

I learned the hard way, on Etsy no less, that every once in a while a scammer comes along & threatens to leave a bad review if the seller doesn’t fully or partially refund the purchase price.
The scamming buyer will claim something’s wrong with the product. But when asked to return the item for the full refund price, the buyer refuses and leaves a negative review.
This was done to me on a high-price purchase. After the buyer sent me an e-mail concerning ‘issues’ with the product, I told the buyer that I don’t give partial refunds, but I’d be glad to give a full refund upon return receipt of the items (they bought a lot of items in the total purchase).
Of course, buyer refused. In the end, the buyer left a bad review.

Like another said, this is common for new sellers on a platform. Scammers target new sellers because they know the sellers are not yet comfortable or established enough on that marketspace to be bickering. Also, the scammers know there is fear from new sellers. The new sellers don’t want to do anything wrong that will harm their reputation, so the sellers often cave to the scamming buyers and offer full or partial refund with no return of the purchased item(s).
My partner also had it happen to him when he started selling on a popular platform. He didn’t cave. The buyer didn’t return the item, but also didn’t leave a bad review. In fact, the buyer left NO review. But no review from a scammer is better than a bad review.

I’m sorry this happened to you. The only thing I can suggest is to not cave to the sellers from here on out. I wish I could help you more, but that’s the way it is.

I have to be honest and tell you that I get very few reviews-to-sales on here and a couple other platforms. I just keep telling myself “It’s better to not have any reviews than nag the sellers to leave a review, only to find out they type out a negative one”.
