Is anyone familiar with joy postle? need help finding how to price her work

I have a flamingo painting on water color paper by Joy Postle. I have been able to find lots of information on Joy Postle Blackstone, her works, and even examples of her paintings but have not been able to find any of her paintings offered for sale anywhere.

I don’t have pics yet but can add if needed. I just need pointed in the right direction for finding prices.

Montrose, have the pink flamingos in water with chick in nest, tree background and blue/white/gray sky. It says flamingos on the bottom and I did take it out of the frame. It is stamped on the back as one of the Glamor Birds and has a note written by the purchaser dated 1951. I’m gonna post some cell phone pics for you all.

Thank you CHakraCord. I did find that site I hate to pay to subscribe just to find info on one painting tho I will if nobody knows anything about her art. I also found some interesting background on her in a book review for the book Joy Cometh in the Morning. Full name is Joy Postle Blackstone.

I am just hoping someone knows another way I can research value.

Thank you all for your kind help! I looked at all the links and appreciate the help. I did find some on worthpoint that sold on ebay in 09 and 2010 for well over $100 each. I think that is a good starting point and for what I have invested in this I won’t get greedy.

Yettalass, I agree that this is a treasure and not one I would have expected to find here in South Dakota! Things like this are what make the hunt so much fun!

[URL removed] Here is an art gallery that has some of her work and posted prices. I am guessing that her work or at least some of it would rank up there with the Highway Men in Florida Art The University of Florida has a good deal of her work and writing. I see you have that link above. It looks like her Flamingo work is some of the better pieces. You can probably find out more by sending for info from that UCF link. I think you have a teasure there

Do you have the white flamingo (Ibis) with blue background or the pink flamingos with either the black or greenish to brown earth tones background?

I have the (Ibis) and paid a couple of hundred (in 1999) at local shop here in town and recently gave away as a gift to someone during the holidays for their cottage in the Heights.
