It's vivid magenta flowers stand out in Cranberry bogs and savannas. In the yard, this plant is great for those moist areas where rain collects. The plant comes in a 3.5 inch pot. Keep well watered, plant in moist areas. Description: 1-2 ft tall, leaves oval, opposite, deeply veined, may have a tinge of red. Flowers, magenta with 4 petal and bright yellow stamens. Interesting red seedheads. Culture: Bogs, moist sandy soils, full sun to part shade. Blooms mid summer, zones 5-8. Companion plants: Bog Aster, Cranberry, Ironweed, Sneezeweed, Turtlehead, Sabatia, Slender Blue Flag. Wildlife benefit: Attracts butterflies and other pollinators. Eco-friendly grower All of my plants are grown using earth friendly techniques, from seed collection to watering with rainwater. Pots are 100% recycled, some are re-used containers, others are made from recycled plastics. Plants are fed with PLANT-TONE by Espoma, an organic fertilizer and/or worm castings. I grow plants that can replace those lost to development in order to help sustain wildlife that depend on them. You can be assured that you are not getting plants from the wild, which is unethical and further contributes to habitat loss. ***Check my other listings. I am adding more wildlife-friendly native perennials everyday*** Payment, shipping and handling policies We gladly accept PAYPAL, and POSTAL MONEY ORDERS. Shipping is 9.00 for the first plant.
