Factory original assembly line correct bench seat adjuster wire center retainer hook
This hook attaches to the bottom of the front bottom of the bench seat to keep the track adjuster cross wire from hanging down and catching or binding.
This was used on nearly all GM passenger cars with adjustable bench seats from the late 50s up through the 80s
